I've spent a good part of my spring break junkyard scrounging at the only U-pull yard in the midwest. If you guys can throw out some vehicles that have STANDARD heated mirrors, I'll try to find some broken ones that I can take the heating element off of for cheap. If there are any random interior parts anyone needs let me know tonight, we don't have many Yotas up here but they practically give me these interior parts.

 

My Audi with the winter package had them.

 

They are standard on SR5 and Limited 4Runners from either 1999 or 2000. My 00 SR5 has them as standard equipment.

 

My '01 BMW 540 had heated mirrors, as does my '99 M3. I can't guarantee that they were standard features, but I'm guessing 95% of either of those models have heated mirrors.

You can probably find heated mirrors on almost any luxury car (BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, etc) made within the last 8-10 years.

 

Shoot... I shoulda said more... very few imports around here. Anybody know if Denali or Escalade have them? Recent Tahoes or Silverados?

 

gees my 92 4Runner even had heated mirrors..your 98 limited does not? you know they do come on when you hit your rear defog button right?

Our 2001 Limited Highlander has them

 

ford full size pickups from about 00 or 01 and newer

 

Many of the newer Subaru's have them.

 

I've had my 97 4runner for 4 years and this is the first time I am wondering if I have heated mirrors.... if I go out to the truck and hit the rear defog button and the mirrors heat up, I'll fall off my chair. About to try it this morning... haha

 

My 97 Camry XLE has them.

My buddies 03 Yukon has them and his 99 Suburban did as well. 98 Taurus SHO has them as well. When I had my 00 I thought about adding them but they usually hook into the rear defrost and as mine was a 4 cylinder it was not pre wired and I decided for the 5 -10 times I actually need them here in central MA it just wasn't worth it. Because they come on with the defrost they are timed, I would worry about burning them out sooner if they had no timer.

 

My 97 BMW 328i has them.

 

My 91 VW Passat had them...

 

93 325i have them at least my wifes has one now. Passengers side if you find one.

 

Yeah my dad's last two Silverados and Sierras have had them. You will know if they have them if you see the little defrost symbol near the bottom of the mirror.

Okay thanks for the suggestions, I think the late model Silverado/Suburban/Tahoe's are what I'll go after. Ultimately I'd like to find some broken mirrors that I can take the element off of for cheap. I'll keep everyone posted...
