Is this knock sensor bad? NEED ASAP!

1998 4-cyl 4Runner

I did I continuity test on the knock sensor itself. It starts with 0 ohms and then rises to about 84 ohms. The manual says if there is continuity replace the sensor. I am not sure because it doesn't stay at 0 ohms. Before I order a new sensor, is it bad?

TIA!

On another note does anyone know how to remove the pin from the connector that goes to the knock sensor?

I have been trying to figure out this same thing for a week now, i dont know to test the knock sensor..although if there is not supposed to be continuity, that may answer my question. i would have thought there should be tho.
As far as removing the pin..you need a real small screwdriver like one used for eye glass repair, or jewelry repair.... inside the connector should be a small plastic piece that kinda locks the pin in there, if you are careful you can pry that out, then just pull the wire and pin out...at least thats how it worked for me...I should note that i have the 3VZE motor, not 22re

Well apparently the sensor is bad because a brand new sensor has NO continuity at all. Just FYI.
