king coilover on 03 4runner?

Hey I was wondering if the suspension (the non x=reas ones) are pretty much the same as the 3rd gen 4runner/tundra's.

I really can't tell the difference by looking at the two in the front so I figure I'd ask all of ya techie people to help me out. My 4runner is in dire need of a lift as 8" just doesn't cut it...

King has told me that if the suspension is the same as the tundra/4runner/tacoma then I should have no problems... Since I don't have x-reas, i took a quick look comparing the 03 and the 01 and it looked pretty much the same... the coils on my 4runner does look thicker but other than that it looks like it's the same.

Can someone chime? I'd love to just get the king and see if it fits... but really don't want to spend the $$ and find out it's useless and then sell it

Thanks!!!

Lance

Hi,
I wouldn't do it. I bet the springs will be too soft since the 03 is heavier (especially in the front if you have the V8).

The weight on the 4runner and the tundra are pretty much the same (within 100#) so I'm thinking the coils shouldn't an issue.

King told me that if the bolting are the same as the tundra one then it will work.... Guess I gotta wait and see for other's to reply or something

Yeah, I'm waiting too but I might just take my 4runner to King as they're local to me and have them take a look in person and go from there.

You gonna lift it and put bigger tires on, I thought that would mess up the Nav

don't think that'll mess the nav up as it's all gps coordinates...

but I personally don't have a nav in my 4runner so no worries there

if I do get a nav it'll be an aftermarket one so...
