Junk yard score!

Went out to a local salvage yard looking for a computer for a friends car and found a wrecked 87 SR5 4runner. I needed to replace one of the panels for my storage compartments in the cargo area and discovered that this 4Runner had a cover for the roll bar. Having banged my head off the roill bar when I slept in the back of the 4Runner on a recent camping trip I decided to pick it up along with the map lights.

Got them all installed and wired up. The fun part was cutting the headliner (I must have measured about 5 times before making the first cut :

mertztr you can get the deals there. i try to go there once a month to see whats new. they have weekly specials now they lower the prices on certian things. they have a second yard in allentown PA and a 3rd one they opened last summer in pennsburg PA . did you ever go to ez pull in NEW RINGOLD PA it;s 45 minutes south of harry's they just started a sectoin thats $10 for whatever you can carry out in one trip. they put the cars and trucks in there after they have been in the regular parts for awhile. sometimes they put them strait in there. they just put a 86 4x4 toyota truck in there first. my freind and i just got 2 complete 2wd power steering setups in there and some other parts. we piled the stuff on a nice 84 toy hood and carried it rite out.

Jason,

I may be moving back that way in a few months. If I do, we'll have to hook up for a junkyard run!

I've never been to that one in New Ringold, but a buddy of mine has.

Man, you got a detroit locker and 5.29's from there too? Awesome. Maybe I'll luck out and find a Toyota e-locker there.

tom that place is way better then harry's. they don;t get near the business so the trucks are not as stripped. i got a couple pair of 3 inch lift springs and 2 cheap hedman headers there. in that $10 parts last spring i found a 95 4 runner with 4.88's. it sucks it did not have the e-locker though. i found a place in philadelphia that has only trucks and vans. when you move back we'll have to meet up and go. i know of 7 cheap places like harry's 3 of them are close to allentown PA and there is a real small place close to ez pull
