Jardine Catback Arrived!

About a week ago, I ordered the Jardine 89218 catback exhaust system for my '02. It was kind of a struggle getting the right part number because I wasn't sure mine was dual cat. FWIW, all 01 and 02 models and some 99 and 00 are dual cats. The Jardine catalog shows the 99-02 system as exiting on the driver side and being a side exit...this is wrong. After talking with their engineers, I found the system is a passenger side and REAR EXIT! That means that with the new system, the 3rd gens will have the same exhaust exit style as the 4th gens.

The system looks great and should be an easy install. The best part is the 3-1/2 inch tip that will exit in the rear! I'll be putting it on next week and will post my thoughts and pics of the system and install.

For those that are considering this system, call Nick Thompson at Jardine for the best deal. They're way cheaper factory direct than through anyone else. I can't wait to put it on and see how it sounds!

What made you pick that brand?
I've considered doing a cat back on my 99 runner but I do not need
worse mileage. I need better mileage.
I drive my runner on trips alot on the hwy so I need all the help I can get.

Anyone else here do that system ?

I have JBA Catback on my `97 4cyl. I noticed a slight improvement in gas mileage and mildly better 5th gear acceleration on the highway. Plus, at $280shipped, I was happy with the purchase.

Can you post some pics and a link to the site that lists the 4Runner info?
