However, I have a 130 Ah battery that is just drooling (not literally) for the camper and the camper has a 50 watt solar panel which produces 3.3 amps at full tilt. And I'm going to be getting another 150 watts worth of solar down the road along with another battery. So with over 13 amps worth of charging during the day and 260 amps at night, I'll be plenty fine to run that fridge non stop for a long time.

hehehe....David you're confusing me here because you're talking about AC and DC in the same sentance. It might be better to just compare wattages for charging/usage (ie is the fridge pulling 1A in DC or AC mode and at what voltage? 12V? 24V? 120V?). At least if you go by wattage and tell us AC or DC we can figure out the other parts. I know I'm being nitpicky..... :pat:

The amp ratings are at 12 volts. Since it's going to be in my truck, it's mostly going to be seeing 12 volts, and only 120 at camp sites.
NP on being nitpicky, 1 amp at 120 volts is 11 amps at 12 volts so I understand.
But it is 1 amp at 100% duty cycle at 12 volts.
i know, it kicks ass

The model that I'm getting is the Eagle Shell, with the 16k BTU heater, Arctic pack, side fold out couch, 50 watt solar panel, and the camperjacks.
here are pics of what it'll look like:

One dumb question: Why are you storing all of your "camping cra!" inside the cab of your truck when you can keep it inside your camper?
Also: very cool camper!!! I am interested in getting one, my son goes camping on a weekly basis, I am not a camping guy, this would solve that...
My son is going for his Eagle scout.

And to be honest, the stuff in my truck is more along the lines of recovery gear, fishing gear, emergency gear, etc. So my actual 'camping crap' will be in the camper, things like the stove, lanterns, pots, pans, plates, cups, etc, etc.
I'll definitely get some good pics of it for all to enjoy. I'm hoping that Austin is able to stay for an extra day because the day he is supposed to leave Bozeman is the day that I get my camper DOH!
Tell your son congrats on going for his Eagle scout!

The fridge will be accessable from the camper via the sliding window on both my truck and my camper, so no worries there.
