Introduction

Hello all,

Just thought I'd take the time to introduce myself. I've been lurking around a few days now just checking things out. I found that your "new board" has grown up quite a bit since my last visit. Good on ya! I plan on spending some more time around here now that I have some money to throw at my rig again. :pat:

I used to visit the Outdoorwire Forum a lot but had to quit. I was getting frustrated with all the great things going on with 2nd gens and Tacomas, and little to nothing with the 3rd gens, unless you were willing to hack the front end off your $30k+ rig and do a SAS. And even if you did, you still had few options for the rear, and none of them very appealing. Well, some things haven't changed that much, but it looks like there are some other options for me now. Thanks for taking the time to write down all your experiences and/or link to them from here.

My current dilemma is what bumper to buy. ARB Tacoma or TJM T-15, ARB or TJM, ARB or TJM.......... I just can't decide. I've read all the posts, and liek various things about both. Which to buy........ I think it will probably be the TJM for the superior approach angle, the lighter weight, cleaner look, direct bolt-on capability. Guess I'll just have to improve on it as I go along. Who knows when a 90deg side pull might be necessary, but then again, isn't that what tree straps, snatch blocks and trail buddie's rigs are for?

I'm also gonna need to add some new rubber, gears, lockers, droop, side and bottom armor, exhaust, lighting, a new head unit, oh yeah, and one of those bitchen Rockware rear bumper/tire carriers. I may even try to make one of my very own.

Party on!!!

Welcome aboard! Many of us here used to be on Outdoorwire (me included, I still visit every now and then) I think you'll find a lot more info here and get much quicker responses. Good luck with that mod list of yours, you'll be in the poor house soon, just like the rest of us
