Interesting Off-Road Comparison
At school yesterday, I found an interesting article comparing 5 SUV's in which does better in a low traction situation. The 5 SUVs are the Infiniti QX4, Ford Explorer Limited, an Isuzu Trooper LS, Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and the Toyota 4Runner Limited with locker. Note this article is from 1997. Well after reading the conclusion of the evaluation, the QX4 came in first, 2nd: Explorer, 3rd: Jeep, 4th: 4Runner
, 5th: the Trooper. I was very surprised by the 4Runner being in 4th. In one picture shows the 4runner tearing up the snow while the others are just sitting there. In another shot, shows all the SUV's lined up and guess what, highest one there was the 4Runner and best looking also. I'll scan the article later on tonight.

Obviously not.
Maybe Toyota didn't buy enough advertising in that magazine to get a better ranking. Magazine writers and editors feed their families with advertising money. Magazine comparasons and "tests" are always doctored to make the company that spends the most on advertising look better. Its always been the case, it always will be.

I dont think Toyota needs to buy advertising. Not now anyways. They are known to be the most reliable best built vehicles on the market. Used Toyotas here in B.C are very hard to find as no one wants to sell them. Finding a low km Toyota is like pullin teeth. If you do find one you better jump on it because it will be gone. I bought my taco with 150k on it and its like a brand new truck. The tranny is tighter now than a new ford is right off the showroom floor.
