When yo talk to him, you might wanna ask if he's still interested in doing a group buy on winches. I think it was in this thread that he had mentioned it. I PM'd him about it but hadn't heard back.

David (Mad Chemist) found a way to keep his winch, so I'm in the market for one to go with my rope.

Thanks!

Yeup... I know about that pricing (I think I posted it back here somewhere), but didn't want to get there until Wayne had a chance to try to meet/beat it if possible.

sorry guys I have been away for a couple of days because of sick kids and played mister mom. I would prefer the grease over what i was dealing with.

Yes it does seem that we have enough for the group buy.
just give me a call and I will get your info for billing and shipping and what sizes you want.

as for the winch group buy i can set that up to . just let me know which one most are interested in.
for example warn xd9000i #27550 $825.00 group buy price.

thanks

Wayne

Hey Wayne!

No sweat, the sick kid thing is an ugly one... Welcome back!

Winch wise, I'd be in for a Warn M8000... Would you need everyone to pick the same winch, or just all from the same manufacturer, or? And how many folks do you need in to call it a "group"?

Thanks!

the group deal would work with five as well. if we could get everybody to at least go with the same make that would help with pull on my end.

thanks

Just got off the phone with Wayne (nice guy!) and ordered up my side of the line deal. He'll ship when everyone gets their orders in, so please call him.

fwiw... We talked for a while about 5/16" vs. 3/8" and I decided to go with 100' of 3/8" "just to be sure" in terms of strength. And also, he's comfortable selling that line size/length to spool onto an M8000.

Regarding winches, he was VERY straight-up and said that he simply can't touch the pricing that 4WheelParts does on the M8000. For 4WP, the M8000 is what they use as their loss leader to get you in the front door. They're a stocking dealer and as such can get incredible pricing.

Wayne suggested that we all look at the Magnum series of winches if we're interested in working a deal with him. In specific, he's looking at the Magnum 9000 which he could give us in a 5 unit group buy for $510. The downside is that it ONLY comes with a roller fairlead, Hawse fairleads are not available.

And... that's my update for the morning!

1: contact info / phone #

His name is Wayne at UpnOver, his phone number is at the bottom of his sig. here

2: cost for applicable application (Warn M8000 aslong as possible)

Depends on the thickness of the rope you choose and the length. The cost is posted on his website, and we get 10% off those prices.

3: does it come w/ a hook and rock guard?[/QUOTE]

I believe it does have a hook, if not get the one off your new rope that comes with your new winch. and yes it has the rock gaurd included.

No problem, put it on the card. Don't have to pay for it for 4 weeks. Go to vegas in two weeks win some money, pay it off in 3 weeks. All is good.

Edit: How about the rest of you guys, have you paid wayne yet?

Just talked to Wayne! Wow he's such a great guy!!!!

Anyway, I just ordered the 3/8 x 100 just like Mark

Btw, I'm the 3rd confirmed and he told me he needs 2 more to confirm by phone to get the order to ship. In the meantime I gotta check my m8000 hook to see what size it is because if it's too small I"ll need the better one

This group buy is still alive for anyone that wants it done so get ur deals and steals in now!!
