intake silencer removal mod.

Sorry to ask more questions on this, I got the tees for the vacuum lines, have them all hooked together, and have end caps on the silencer for now. I just need to put a plug in where the silencer is now. I was just curious if there is special way to attach vacuum hoses to tee connectors. Should I use clamps, or is there any adhesive that can be used on the outside of the tee? If any has any handy hints it would be much appreciated. The vacuum lines are connected fine, I am just paranoid about my truck. I'm sure everyone knows how that is.

If you used barbed Tees, then you shouldn't need any clamps, provided it was a nice tight fit. If you are paranoid, you certainly can use a small clamp to give you piece of mind, but its not necessary. Don't use adhesive, though, because it will just leave you with a mess if you ever have to remove the lines for some reason.

Thanks guys. I have a small clamp on one side of one of the tees, but only because it didn't fit as tight as the others. I have all the vacuum tubes setup, and put end caps on the two small outlets in the big silencer box. The Silencer box is now isolated to just one connection to the main intake tube. Now I just need to find some end-caps or get a whole new pipe. I am going to check on a new pipe because the stock one is a little tweaked after putting the body lift on. It is just bent funny, it still works fine. Thanks for all the help. Hopefully I can borrow my mom's digital cam this weekend, try to post pictures of all the new stuff. It's nice to have people to talk trucks with, its not the same w/ most of my friends in my town here. They are all into hondas, which is cool, but I want something I can go everywhere with, that and I hate when low cars have two crawl over speed bumps, what's the fun in that. Nice to hear from other truck lovers though. I will get back to my projects tomorrow, then continue looking for the next project, hopefully something else inexpensive for now, I need a better job. Going to school and trying to work too kills all chances of having spending money. Anyways, thanks!!
