I just got a letter from my insurance company and they are telling me I am losing my DRL discount because my truck does not have that feature. Where did they get that info? Outside of driving thru their front window and saying "Can ya see the lights now?" What should I do or where should I send them to see that a 2001 sr5 has DRLs? I dont want to have to go down there to show them.

 

Call your agent and explain that your vehicle has DRLs. Be prepared with your account number, the letter and the VIN number of your vehicle. If they can't solve the issue without you having to drive down there, I think I'd drive to a new insurance company and tell them I would do so.

Last time my insurance company tried to jerk me around on something stupid like that I just told them if I had any more problems with them I was going to move all of my insurance business somewhere else, auto, life and home owners. I've had nothing but complete cooperation and courtesy since.

 

That will be the next step. I have both cars and our home insurance with them (state farm). I havent had any problems in the past but this could be the start.
