Impulse - How hard to remove factory radio?
How much of the dash/console do have to actually remove?
If I am just adding a sub amp is there an easier location to splice into speaker wires for a high level input?
thanks in advance!

you have to remove a decent amount but its not hard. the whole bezel around the radio has to be removed. the area around the transmission stick has to be removed, and to make your like easier i would unscrew the armrest, i think its three screws and you move it back a few inches. Do the armrest and area around the stick first, it makes removing the radio bezel/trim much easier.
look at my website for the pdf links, if you have any question im me at thermalovr on aim.

bezel removal
Does the bezel pull off easily after the 3 screws are removed?
I had an incident with my last car which I would like not to repeat.
Thanks.

You did not mention what year your rig is, and I don't see it in your profile.
We have some stereo write-ups in Tech that go into great detail on how to remove the factory unit and rip your dash apart.

he put my name in the subject so i just assumed he has a 03
after the screws and the air controls are removed, and everything is moved check for the screws in the bottom corners of the radio bezel/trim. they like to hide there where the panel underneath the steering wheel meets with the bezel and the area by the glove box. mine was in there good, i just gave it a good evenly distributed yank and it came out. Its built well so unless you really pick the wrong spot to yank i dont think anything will happen. just make sure you get all the screws in the pictures in the pdf.
