Done it with both my 93 V6 camry I had and my T100, absolutely no change and a waste of money. All acetone will do is clean out clogs possibly in your lines and filter maybe.

its official went from 14.5 to 17.2 MPG over the last three tanks using 2.5OZ of acetone. Runs better too!

I personally do not like the idea of adding anything to my gasoline that my vehicle was not designed for. I would be wary of how the chemicals react to the gasoline and where it travels to i.e. fuel lines and injectors. You may get a few more miles to the gallons, but what of the cost for new injectors and having to buy new fuel lines? No thanks! Unless an automaker's engineers have tested and approved it I would not add it.

I use FP60 every fill up (3oz per fill up). Not only does it clean but it lubes the pump, injectors and upper cylinders as well. Been using it for the last three years.

Well you certainly have a point. I stand corrected. Back on topic, I myself would not use it until it has been scientifically proven.

this is another article that explains it in more detail... his argument about why it's not already added into fuel at the pump makes sense to me, and could potentially be credible...once i get my truck I'm going to try it.

Also looked at that FP60 and LC20 stuff, looks real good too...

only reason this happened is probably because it done something like clean out your fuel filter or something...personally, i would have replaced the fuel filter and performed other maintenance seeing that you mileage was in the 14mpg range...

not since he has a 94. 14mpg isn't that low for combined driving. i would put more money on a change in driving style. when you become concious of your MPGs you tend to lay off the throttle a bit, or at least i do. i know when i first got mine, i was averaging about 18 combined(about 30-40% city), now i get about 21, with an AT. nothing changed except my driving style.

yeah, tha's defintiely true a/b the drving style...i remember when i 1st got my truck and liked to wind it up in all the gears. now i try to shift by 2500 rpm and i get 19 in the city and 22.5 on my 220 mile trips back home.
