I'm keeping my 4Runner!
After much consideration, thought, and head scratching I decided to keep my 93 4Runner. I figured why go into that much debt for a vehicle. Besides, automobiles are not a good investment anyway, especially one that will cost 50K. Heck, I decided to take the money I would be forking out every month on a payment and put it towards my Runner with some rebuilds and modifications. Besides, after owning two Runners I'm kinda partial to Toyotas. You guys helped me to see the light! Thank you alll very much. Not that I still wouldn 't love to have one, but it just doesn't make fiscal sense. And besides... who needs those snobs? I like the atmosphere with the Toyota Family! Now that I have my feet back on th ground and I'm not going to be facing that gawd awful truck payment every month, I think I'll throw back a few cold ones tonight and celebrate the re-birth of my beloved 93 4Runner!

Wise Choice IMO
This was my comment from the other thread:
I just happened to see the H2 in person last night. It was parked in front of the local Starbucks here in Coronado where I live. I had a lot of time to study it and it is just one big box. I don't know how they managed it, but it is even more square than it's Daddy the H1.
I mean there is no design to it whatsoever (I think they used an old shoe box to model it after), it was the same orange/yellow color in the pictures at their website and the only thing that comes to mind was the School Bus that picked me up and shipped me off to school every morning when I was in the 6th grade.
The interior was just as square and boxy as the outside and I do not know why it is so damn tall
this thing looks so top heavy I would be scared of taking a corner over 1MPH let alone drive it on the trail
. What's bad is that it's taller than the H1 but doesn't have the H1's width to compensate for it.
No offense to those who like it, but I think you made the wise choice ... just my .02 worth

Nah....
Actually, the rebirth consisted of me going out into the garage, taking my position behind the wheel, closing my eyes and realizing she's paid for, and that she is just now "broke in" with 117,000 miles on her, and thinking of how reliable she has been, and how much fun it is to go camping, 4wheeling, and even to the Rockies baseball games in. THEN the clincher! -- opening my eyes and knowing how tiresome it would become to ship off $600 dollars every month to GMAC for the next 7 years!
So, after that I tossed back a few. And that was the rebirthing of me and my Runner.

Good choice to stay with the 4Runner. From what I was told a while back (I don't keep up with Hummers) the H2's are on the Suburban Chassis, which would explain why they are longer, taller, and not as wide as the previous versions..put all that together and you have a less capable hummer that is designed for 'Civilians' only
a $50,000 suburban with a hummer name doesn't sound too good
