IFS Axle component order

My service manual doesn't show or explain this very well. On the outboard half of the axle shaft, after the rotor is back in place, the following items have to go on the shaft: splined washer, c-clip, nut, flower-style lock washer, another nut. I think the order I just listed them is the correct order, from inside to outside.

Can anybody tell me whether this is the right order?

The nuts and washers are there to preload the wheel bearings, the circlip is to hold the half-shaft in the spindle. The correct order for the nuts and washers is washer, nut, lockwasher, nut. You have to torque them properly otherwise you'll destroy the bearings, let us know if you need more info on this as I don't have it handy at the moment. The circlip (on some years it's a bolt with washer instead) is put in last once the bearings are set.

This is from ODW, Maybe it will help.

That's the order of removal, assembly is the opposite.
