please see my other post, but just by doing a small change you will get 25-30% more, change the 1157 back up bulbs for 3497, no wire changes needed, enjoy, for the rest Corey's post on the tractor lights sounds cool!
Will this work? I have been having a hell of a time with my back-up lights. They are way to weak and don't throw enough light. I was hoping there is a bulb that could replace it. Will this? What is the difference? Thanks. :fireman:

Has anyone done this?

Has anyone thought to put a light up in the C-Pillar where there looks like a speaker grille. I think that is just for show up there. Bulb changes would be tough...

Another thought is to use a cargo light from an old VW Golf/Rabbit. These things are great - I've used them in other vehicles of mine. They require a rectangular hole be cut in a trim panel - it snaps in with no screws. The light is actually a one piece deal - the lens has the mounting ears molded into it. It has two 1/4" spades for wiring and it takes a normal dome light bulb. I gotta dig to see if I have one laying around so I can snap a pic and post it. These things are plenitful at junkyards...
