DRLs are a must in Canada. You can't register your car without them.

I like them personally. There are so many dumb people who cruise down the highway with there light off at dawn and dusk, and when it is raining or snowing hard. Total hazard.

DRL's save lives.

If you start the 4Runner in Park w/ the parking brake on the DRLs do NOT come on.

I still need to do the switch mod. I do like it for safety reasons, but when camping and hunting, etc., I do not want light shining on everyone and everything.

But really, there are approximately 33 Million people in California, I'm pretty sure the cops have their hands full already, without checking how far your tires stick out, or whether or not you have mud flaps.

Oh, yeah, DRL's SUCK!!! Turn your lights on yourself, you lazy bass terds......JK...... DRL's do suck, though.
Uhhh... actually my father is a law enforcement officer and he pulls people over for that all the time. The reason you get pulled over for it is because you throw rocks up onto other cars and cause damage to other cars when you do not have mud flaps. The legal limit for your tires to stick out past the body of your truck is 1/2". Any further and they will literally pull out a measuring tape and give you a fix-it-ticket. And DRL's are nice 75% of the time and crappy the other 25% so, install the 10$ switch and quit complaining!
