lol. Thanks again for all the support. I would go out with Yota people but they are so hard to come by in this area. Everyone is too scared to take their trucks off road. They don't want to get dirty! I'm hoping that this Texas 4Roc will get off the ground soon and more people will join in. We need stickers on our cars to advertise Yotatech.com. I suggest that all Texas 4Roc people should do so. I will be soon.

I have a yotatech.com sticker on mine ... just put it on Tuesday night

I tried waving at a black 4th gen. that I passed on the way to visit my buddy, but it was a high school kid and apparently he knew he was better than me, so he didn't wave or anything, just kind of looked at me like "ugly chick flirting with me" ... and kept driving.

I would wave. You know what I wish? When I am on my motorcycle other motorcylists always wave at you, no matter what they are on or what you are on. I wish 4Runner owners were like that. On my way home today I must have spotted 6 4runners, I waved, nothing back.

Yeah, I wish 4Runner owners were like that too. When my dad would drive his old 2002tii around, everyone in other old cars or in BMWs who knew what his was, would wave at him and give him compliments and put notes on his car about how awesome it was. I'm going to do that if I see a 4Runner that looks like it might be interested in yotatech. When I used to ride my dirtbike around, other motorcyclists would wave at me, too. Then again, that was in Colorado around the mountains and it seems to me that those people are more willing to be friendly than the ones down here in Texas.

What kind of equipment do you need to help a person out when they get stuck or need to be tugged? I would like to get whatever equipment is necessary so I can help anyone I see who needs it.

Tow straps are the best. I have a small ratchet wrench set and a small socket set that helped me last night. Air is always nice too. But you can never plan for everything.

The other day I saw this really nice 4runner, huge lift tires bumper the works. I stopped to ask the guy a few questions and he seemed very un interested.

Okay, I'll get some tow straps. I have a warn shackle receiver in my hitch, too. I PM'd you ... next time that happens (if there is a next time) call me. I'll come out and find you and do whatever I can to help or tug or pull or whatnot. No matter what time it is - just give me a call.

That's awesome. I'll do the same. I almost had my fiance post that I was stranded. I called everyone I could, but no one had a 4x4. By the time she got home, it was too late.

Well, I'm awake usually until about 3:30 in the morning ... so ... keep my number handy and don't worry about what time it is. I would never leave a friend or anyone stranded.

i think a while back there was an effort to get a number exchange going - for this type of stranded situation. anyway, the point is...be sure you guys have the phone number of your friendly neighborhood toyota 4x4 handy on the trails...you never know. it's as easy as storing it in your cell phone.
