I Can Help With Toyota Parts

Hi. My name is Paul and am the Parts Manager for Toyota Of Hattiesburg in Hattiesburg Ms. I stumbled upon this site while looking for lift kit opinions for my wifes 97 4runner 4wd. I know that I am not a "vendor" on this site but I can help out if needed with parts, part numbers, and some diagrams.

It is best to email me at parts@toyotahattiesburg.com. I can also be reached at 601.544.9630. I will offer a 25% discount off of Toyota list prices to members of this site. Shipping would be at your expense, although I will only charge cost for shipping. If am violating any rules by doing this, please edit this post and notify me. You guys helped make what I think is a good choice on a lift kit(OME) and also wheels (TRD Ivan Stewarts) so anything I can do to help out I will.

Hey, looky there. No fair though, you been here longer than me. You've probably seen that thread come up alot then in the last couple years. Somehow it slipped past my radar 'till now, or I's blind.

Anywho, duly noted.

Looking forward to seeing what you can do for me! Thanks again for providing YT members with these opportunities.

Ummmm...you know.........you can try the old fashion way and call if you didn't get an email reply... I know a few dealers on-line are claiming to offer a "special" price if you place your order through them. But i've been finding out, if you just ask at the parts counter at your local dealer, they'll give you a discounted price versus the MSRP listed price.

Thats not really fair, Edzo....

I sell new and used parts here and other forums......it usually takes me 3-7 days to respond to all the crap e-mails I get...asking for free tech or advice, tire kickers, people that are trying to get prices to sell stuff themselves, etc....

Then checking availability, shipping prices, etc.....its not as easy as you would think

give the guy a break sheesh

are you saying that he never responded at all? If you can't wait several days then I dont feel sorry for you.

Or you just were not happy with the price?

no reply no response

that is what I was implying by saying jack s**t...sorry I use too common a redneck term

I meant I got no reply in any fashion whatsoever

4 days for an email response is far too long. no toyota dealer is so busy that cannot
reply to my email in 4 days. jeeze. I have an award winning toyota dealer two towns
over and the parts department will email me three times in one day over things I wish to
discuss...

I guess I will stick with them. YMMV

by beef is, I am about to order several thousand dollars worth of stuff

and I need to plan with my credit union to cut some dough for the amount

that, takes time off work for me to go to the cr to get it done

so 4 days delay in getting a price to evaluate (do i want to go
with this dudes price ???) moves the project ahead by a week just to get the funds

my feelings become this:
I am wasting time chasing down this link I found on yotatech, when I realize I should
just stick to what I know, which is my local dealer

if the OP stated "it may take several days for a response" then maybe I would
act accordingly and not expect a timely response. that is why I call shenanigans

the OP can certainly edit the post, and put in the fact there will be a rather long d-e-l-a-y
to any email inquiries

parts can also maybe 'want my business' and email a quick reply stating 'we need
to do some looking into this we'll get back to you'

and I am not dialing out of state. that costs a few bucks. email doesn't cost
me any more than my usual internet fees

I will offer the discount to everyone except YOU. I was doing it as a COURTESY to members. If you look nobody replied to this thread since november until the other day. I was off friday-today for a little R&R. Nobody else handled emails because I let my guys know I had special pricing. Everybody elses emails will be handled except YOURS.

I was not doing this to make money. I was doing this to help fellow enthusiasts. If you are that big of a hurry then go pay list price or more at your local dealer, if you can wait a few days you get a break.

I have sent numerous prices and parts diagrams to people on this board and nobody has bought anything from me. Many of those people have said thank you for the help which is fine by me. Take a look at my original post, it says it all.

Also, I don't NEED anyones "business" off of this site, especially yours. I offered to "help".
