The housing is a seperate piece. It is black plastic, round on front, with a hose coming off it. It is on the lower right side of the engine (looking into the hood) right beside the fan pulleys. The the thermostat with the seal needs to be seated properly or it will hold that black plastic piece off causing a leak. The seal also needs to be installed correctly on the thermostat.

Water Pump / Timing belt change

help: Has anyone had to change their water pump only to find that it would be the perfect time to change the timing belt?
I had to do this yesterday. Now it seems to vibrate at idle (400-450rpms in neutral / 700-800rpms in drive with brake held). It is less noticeable in neutral & is sluggish (more than normal) when the throttle is applied.
Should I adjust the timing? Did I perhaps put the belt on wrong? or is it something completely differerent? Distributer? Plug wire? Throttle linkage?
Any input would be appreciated!
