In hunt for new wheels/tires- need hulp!

Hi! I have a 2002 Tacoma 4x4 and have been trying to find a good deal on some wheels. Right now the truck sits on 16x8 05 Tacoma wheels. I found some that are pretty close to me on ebay and think they will look good.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=43955

The description dosnt say that they will fit my truck, but I dont know how they wouldnt. 6 lu, 16x8.......i am worried about the lugs fitting. I have some $ after coming back from deployment and am ready to blow it on my truck! I anyone has any links to anything like these let me know. Thanks, Dustin.

toyota wheels center on the lug nuts, and the cone-shaped nut base
...not the hub.

other vehicles wheels center on the hub

so you really want to be sure of the style and size before buying

My 98 stock 4runner Toyota wheels;

Bolt pattern is 6 x 5.5 , 16 x7 JJ wheels with offset of 44

Yes lug centric pattern is very important.

Um, they will not fit your truck. They only have 2 lug patterns available.

I have 2 different bolt patterns available (listed below). At the end of the auction you can communicate to me what type of vehicle you have and I will ship you the correct bolt pattern.

8on170: Fits: 1999 to 2005 Ford F250 and Ford F350 and Excursions. This fits both 2WD and 4WD.

5on5.5: Fits: All 1946-1986 Jeep CJ's . 1983-2007 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD & 2WD. 1986-1998 Suzuki Samurai 2WD & 4WD.

I wouldn't buy anything, much less a set of rims, from Compton, anyway.

Get some from Wheeler's off road.

BTW, do you have the stock 2005 Tacoma wheels? Then they're not 16x8 and they've got backspacing of like 5".

try craig's list. stick with OEM wheels if you are not sure. from your avatar, looks like you have the OEM wheels, they are very good. if you like blackies, just paint them, there are tons of instructions here.

and, please don't blow your money, just be patient.

your best bet is to wait for a company to have a sale.
i bought my Pro Comp Xterrain 4 for the price of 3 in April 06. I guess it is a once a year thing. But keep an eye out for those deals.

Well, 4 years later my vehicle looks exactly the same. I still have my grabbers at 90% tread and would recommend them to anybody.
