I have it for a simple reasons, the average driver doesn't PAY ATTENTION. When you aren't towing something, - added safety when nothing is in your hitch. $10, great idea. I'm not taking anymore chances, for now it's giving me piece of mind, no rear enders yet...

Lightbulb Where to find

I have tried a light purchased at a local Meijer store which was L.E.D. and square but when I pressed on the brakes there was no noticeable difference between the parking light and brake light brightness. So I promptly took it back, and have been searching for one since. Any ideas?

I keep my reciever in hitch for added protection when someone rear ends me. The reciever is better protection than the light IMO.

True, but now when they hit you, they will have "Toyota" stamped in their sheet metal, LOL.

whurd you get the hitch light...I'd like to stick one on my spare tire carrier in the center so it keeps it from mesmerizing people w/ that big old tire staring them in the face...
