How to pull apart dash? -3rd gen

I need to get behind the face plate housing the radio, clock, cig.lighter, etc. Its hard to tell whether I'm missing some bolts or I need a little more force to pop the stupid thing off. Can anyone chime in here and give me a hand? A picture pointing to bolts that need to be removed would be helpful.

you have pull the ac vent controls knobs off, there are screws behind them. The black plastic outside panel just snaps off. Its been awhile, since I've opened it. But its mostly just snap in pieces.

Thanks for the quick responses guys! My cig lighter hasn't worked for ages- I don't smoke, but need it for accessories. Also, my clock is got a loose connection that causes the display to flicker on and off. Finally getting down to taking care of them.

Cheers!

Yeah, I know. I'm a strong advocate of "Do as I say, and not as I do!" I'm just helping you guys pad your post numbers, thats all!

Hey David,

Did you get the console removed. If not give me a holler. I've removed mine plenty of times.
Are you doing the Reiter cleanup. If not you should. It would be nice to ride with again.

Hey Mike,

Nah, didn't get to it today, ended up messing with the clamps on my CV boots, they were leaking a bit after I rebuilt them a few weeks ago, then worked on my mountain bike. I won't make to the Reiter cleanup, since I'll be leaving for Moab just 2 days afterwards. My guess is I'll be pretty jammed up trying to pack and finish a thorough inspection of the 4runner before I head down. I'll hopefully get a bike ride in while I'm down there as well.

We haven't met up hardly at all this summer. ...
