How much would you pay?

Hey every day while coming home from work I see this old 83 Toy Truck sitting in the driveway. The property is run down and the owner lives elsewhere but leaves the Toy among other rigs there. I see potential in building it up into an weekend rock crawler. It's missing the battery, smog pump, and grill that I can see. Has a lot of junk sitting in the cab & bed not to mention its had a flat tire on it since I first saw it. I figured I could get it for cheap and am awaiting a response from the owner. But prior to purchasing I wanted some insight on what my fellow Yotatech members would pay for a truck that is not driveable and needs a lot of work. I will try to attach a pic but not sure if I remember how to do it.

Anything under $1k would make it a decent project truck.
If it turns out to be extremely un-kept...maybe $500-800? Just work it. Convince the guy that it's been doing nothing for him for the past however-many years...and $$ could do a lot more for him/her.

dunno bout your regional prices on trucks like that but I say you could probably get it between $300-$500.
one of my friends bought a running 81 SR5 for $550
It was a good truck too, till he rolled it on the street.

What would you guys pay for a 1985 Toyota SR5 longbed with the 22re, solid front axle, and 5 spd manual. The body has some rust, but the drivetrain looks fairly clean. Everything runs good, including a brand new clutch and the A/C blows cold. He said it burns oil, so he changes the oil every 600 miles. It also comes with a camper shell, which I don't really care about.
Any ideas?

That is the range ive been thinking, its rough and the way ive seen it in the past is anything running is $800 and with this rig not running I say no more than $500. I am going to offer $250 being that is all ive got right now. All its doing there is rusting away. I just want it so I can build it into a machine. I was looking in Offroad mag. tonight and found out Super Lift has a 7" lift for that year.

Sorry, I was just joking around, but I've always known bushogs to be attached to tractors usually behind them, and they aren't for cutting finish grass, unless they have finish blades. Most are used to mow big fields where the grase is extremely tall, just like a hay field.
