I have a 2.7, 2wd auto with about 180k miles on it now, and im starting to notice some... ehh, "chunkiness" shifting from park into reverse. It also rattles sometimes at low speeds; parking lots, etc. in the past 20k miles, all ive done is add a bottle of slick 50 atf.

there was also an incident where, going over a pretty decently-sized flat rock, i may have come down hard on the transmission. it didnt leak fluid or anything, and that didnt notice any change in it (it happened about a thousand miles ago), but it is a worry.

New to me 2000 T4R with 137,000 unfortunately no clue of it's history. Just had the tranny flushed and would love to get a very detailed DIY on a trans cooler.

96 4x4 SR5 V6 ext cab, 304,000 miles engine and trans run great.
At 299,000 I replaced all 3 shift seleniods and all new fluid/filter change, trans was not shifting smoothly which prompted the work needed.
I had performed a fluid flush at 250,000 also.
