how many amps can alternator/batt handle?
Hey all--
I'm planning to install a new stereo system into a 3rd gen ('O1) 4Runner...
Anyone know how many amps the stock alternator & battery currently provide?
And how much is left for accessories (e.g., added fog lights, stereo system, etc) after the normal electrical system takes it share of power ?
I figure the stereo system will draw maybe 60-80 amps or so for now....
Want to know if I should upgrade the alternator or maybe put a capacitor into the stereo system....
