how do you line up engine mounts after installing headers?
ok, i have just about got my headers installed. To install them i had to losen the engine mounts and jack the engine up.
I am now trying to put the bolts back in the mounts and i can't get the holes to line up. I got the front bolt on the drivers sied in but the back bolt hole is off and i can't figure out how it is off or how to get it lined up.
So is there a trick i am missing?

I just re-installed my motor and had the same problem. All I did was tap the mount that is attached to the block lightly with a hammer while the motor is resting on the mounts to get the holes to line up. The mounts are mostly rubber inside and are designed to flex with the engine, so they have alot of room to move around - you won't be bending anything when you adjust them.
Good luck!

Yeah, it took a combo of jacking, hammers and grunt but i finally got it lined back up. Funny, the passanger side lined up perfect everytime but the drivers side would never line up and of course it was 10X harder to get too.
I DID finally get the headers installed and the supercharger and got it running. I will be posting a video of it in my thread later tonight....
