How Do You Install a Metra Power Antenna?

I have a '99 4-Runner. I've taken out the old antenna that didn't work and stopped making noise after about 4 mos. of slight movement and noise. I was thinking the wheel gears had smoothed out and not worth fixing. I bought a Metra power antenna. Took out the old antenna. Cut out the plug. There were 2 wires coming from the 4-runner a blue and a black w/ white stripe. I cut out the signal wire because I couldn't find the connection. I have an Alpine deck. I can't figure out what to connect to the wires coming from the 4-Runner. The 2 wires are 1-blue and 1-black w/ white stripe. The wires coming from the Metra are blue, red, black (ground), and black (signal). I don't know how to proceed and don't have the volt meter or that thing that you poke the wire to make it light up. Some help would be greatly appreciated.
