Unhappy Holy expensive shocks Batman

Soooo,

I go to price out some nice new bilsteins for the truck and the price for four 5100's, $755.70CAD including tax but not installed! Needless to say I muttered something under my breath, tried to swallow and politely excused myself from said store.

So my question is, How much are they in the area north of Seattle. I'm in Vancouver and haven't been able to find them any cheaper. I may invent my own if this is what I'm going to have to pay. I'm willing to drive on down and pick them up but from where. Any good parts stores that carry them for less than my arm and leg?

Order them online

Extremeoff-road.com has really good prices. I am about to order OME shocks and springs and they have been the lowest price I've found. I found someone to put them on for 125$.

I bought my Bils at shox.com and they had the best price at the time.

That price does seem a bit excessive!

I priced em out on Performanceproducts.com (not my first choice in a dealer but...) they ran 270.32 + shipping. So...right around 300 bucks shipped to my door, I am going to try and install them myself. We'll see how long that idea lasts...

Yeah. It's way cheaper to buy from the States right now because Canadian retailers haven't lowered their prices to account for the improving exchange rate.

To get the best exchange.... shouldn't he buy them himself and have them sent to someone along the border? That's what I'm doing with a friend. He's having a couple FRS radios sent to my house then coming down to pick them up when we go snowboarding.

I'm a little closer to you, about 30-45 minutes from the border.

Well NSOR has the procomp es3000's on sale. The buy three get one free thing. So that would be 225 all in. and bils for about three hundred us makes it all most 400 hundred bucks Canadian.
This will take some thought.

That's high for the ES3000's too!!! I see them for between $33 and $39 each down here. 4WheelParts has all four for $154. So that would be something like $200 CDN. And that was the first place I looked. If you look online you can find them even cheaper.

http://www.rubiconexpress.com/dynami...p?folderid=807 Has a set of four for only $124, $163 CDN without the boots. Actually, as I think about it, every place I've been to sells the shocks without the boots. I think NWOR sells them for $35.

But I guess at this little difference, you may want to buy them locally to avoid the hassle of shipping/returns/etc.
