Highway transmission issue

Hey guys, I have a 99 runner auto 2wd with the 3.4 and 211,000 miles. lately i have been having what i believe to be a transmission issue on the highway and thought id ask before i take it to the dealer; since i couldnt find an answer searching. Anyways, when on the highway maintaining speed with your foot on the pedal and not cruise control, when i ease off the gas so im giving it barely any gas like when coming up to a slower car i hear this grinding/humming sound coming from right under the pedals. The noise goes away immediately if you give it more gas and if you get off the gas all the way it does not make the noise as often. Also, the faster you are going the louder/more noticable the sound. I think this might be an issue with the torque converter but i dont know much about transmissions and i am unsure. Also, about 15,000 miles ago i had the front ujoint replaced but not the rear, could the rear ujoint being bad cause this issue?

the fluid is good, i forgot to add i had the transmission fluid flushed by the dealer at about 175,000 miles. It still looks pink so im assuming its good. Aside from this issue it still shifts real smooth around town

Also, today ive noitced both my ujoints have some play in them, could this possibly be causing these symptoms? Ive heard bad ujoint typically squeak when they are bad but could this be a symptom of them being bad too?

check your wheel bearings

jack up the vehicle and see if there is any play in the tire by putting ur hands on the top and bottom of the tire and seeing if there is any play
