High Idle after Auto to Manual transmission swap
So its a 1998 3.4 2wd. The stock auto went out so I threw a 5 speed in it. Everything went pretty smoothly. Kept the Auto harness and ECU. I just jumped the two big wires on the plug for the Auto transmission in order to get it to start. So it runs great. Power is fine. Only have one DTC for transmission solenoid. But the Idle is 1200 RPM at start and keeps creeping up to 1800 once warm. I have replaced the IAC with no difference. Inspected every vacuum line. No cracks in intake hose. There is slack in throttle cable. Cleaned TB when replacing IAC. Coolant level is good. What would change when swapping transmissions? Is there more wiring I need to attend to on the Auto tranny plug? I am looking into getting a MT ECU but would rather not spend the $200-$500 I see for them. The only other thing I can add which is weird is that I was having idle issues with the Auto transmission before the swap but it was idling low and even stalling. That's why I already had the new IAC on hand. Why would it go from too low to too high?

Firewall that chunk of metal between the engine and cab
In theory when the engine is on fire it should keep you from being charred
They can flex and break causing the throttle cable to do interesting things
Engine and transmission mounts can wear or break causing things to flex
