high idle

when i start up after the truck has been sitting all night when its cold, it revs high (about 1500) and idles at that until it warms up, then it'll go back down to normal. it didn't do this until after i installed my headers (3.0). any takes on what could be causing this?

i don't remember it doing that before, but sounds like it's normal from what everybody else is saying. i just figured it might be a malfunctioning O2 sensor or something. oh well. thanks for the help.

Yep, normal. I try not to take off until the idle goes back down.
