Hey, I'm new to the board. I don't have a toy yet, but I plan on buying a pickup between 1989-1993 in August (yeah I know its a long ways off but I gotta save some money!!). I'm pretty sure I can find a nice truck with a 22RE for no more than $3500-$4000. Just wanna do my research about all the mods and what not. How big of tires can you go on these trucks stock, without a lift? I'm thinking I'm going to want 30 inchers. What are some good cheap tires, that will last me all year ( in erie pa SNOW!!), and will handle well on light-moderate off-roading?

Any other advice or anything would be appreciated.

i thought 31s come stock on those trucks, might be able to fit 32x1150s too. BFG ATs is my vote. good luck

 

Welcome to the board! I really can't offer advice on what you're looking for, but I'm sure the answers are out there. Try out the search feature, I've found alot of info that way myself.

I have Bridgestone Dueler A/T's on my 4Runner and have been really happy with their performance in the snow this winter. They are also a little cheaper that the BFG's...

Howdy! Just got BFG at/ko's and they rock on snow. BTW you can get a 1st gen 4runner for that money. The only convertible 4x4 4cyl, TRUCK out there, but I'm biased...
