My passenger headlight has a nice nickle sized hole in it. So I put on some Rockblocker covers. They had colors of yellow, smoked, and blue, so I thought I'd would give it a different look.

I plan to upgrade to '99 lights eventually but until then the Rockblockers stay.

yeah the yellow makes it look 10 years older than it really is. when you plan on upgrading consider these http://www.burtmanindustries.com/zoo...eads_blk_96-98

I live in west west Texas. Nothing but wind and dirt over here. But have you ever thought that if you're NOT getting your 4Runner dirty, you might not be using it properly?

I totally understand alot of people don't like it but I don't often do things to please other people. i think the "older" look might just be from the frosted headlights themselves. I do appreciate all critisms and and thanks for the link!

How do you like the yellow overlays? i am thinking about putting yellow overlays over my current HID setup. The HID bulbs look nice and are much brighter then normal bulbs, but it seems to me the white of the bulbs are not reflecting off the road as much. I think the yellow overlay will give much more reflection on the road with street lights, and with the combination of HIDs it will basically be really bright. Just wanna know your opinion or the yellow overlays you got.

I'm from San Angelo. It's about 3 hours away from Austin. Even the roads are practically off road.

I like the overlays, but mainly got them for the look. Night lighting has a slight yellow tint (obviously) but I can't tell any actual lighting differences. Perhaps you should look into an actual projector set up (if you don't already have one) as HID bulbs are not meant to work on regular reflector headlights and I'm not sure an overlay could remedy that problem.

Sure don't. I keep the level shots for landscapes.

The yellow overlays make your 4Runner look French.

Haha, thanks guys, I never thought of my Toyota as anything short of Japanese. I think the yellow covers are JGTC inspired and it's also used on other racecars including those racing LeMans. I like make engine noises with my mouth and pretend that I'm in a GT car when I drive around town.

But French (I really don't get this one) or Mexican (a tad bit racist, but that's okay, Mexicans don't surf YT right), it does give my headlights some protection against any future holes while keeping moisture out of my current ones until I can updrade. Also its apparently very popular in the Japanese Domestic Market.

Thanks but it's okay, it's the intArnet and I can't take much of this offensively. I find most automotive forums have that "cookie cutter" look that usually gets the most praise. Over on YT it's the Tundra/OME with LC wheels or a solid axle conversion, any thing else and the belong on T4R.org right?

Don't worry, I'll have some suspension goodies and wheels eventually. Maybe the flaming will die out then.

German Engineering,,, you want me to pimp out your PlayStation Game so you can run Gran Turismo 2 on your computer system???

i don't know what bunta's talking about. i wasn't being racist, i just stated my opinion. albeit, the shots are tight and the rig is nice, i think the headlights make it look outdated. since someone brought up culture it reminds me of what a lot of mexicans do to their rides. i feel like an idiot having to explain myself on a forum, but it was only racist if you wanted to take it that way

I think bunta is a little wired.

Sorry, but I didn't start this thread to debate racial and cultural stereotypes. I'm pretty sure you meant it in the least hurtful way possible, but some of the meanest local rock crawlers I've ever seen are owned and built by Mexicans and I don't think they'd appreciate the comment that's all.

Anyways, I really admire your rig roor and I don't post on forums to make enemies so
