Nice truck and you do definetly do a double take on the double cab since I had no idea they made those that far back.

No 10cm bodylift. Think that's all. (did not do it my self, here there are many companies that do this.)

Icelandic made.. Check out www.arctictrucks.is They are the leading company that is in this business.

IFS was an option from the late '80s until the straight axle was discontinued around '96-97 in most other countries, we never got a choice here

The fender flares are made here in Iceland I belive. And the are recent, there were other older on the truck, but new onces were put on the truck when the rear axle was moved.

Hey Gummy!

I was in your town one year ago hehe.

Icelandic trucks are GREAT

When I see your truck I think... There is not rubbing when flexing?

Icelandic trucks seem that haven't much suspension travel... It's correct?

Hi!

Great to hear ! It can stretch, since the rear suspension has been removed and spring system has been installed (when the rear axle was moved) it's a four-link setup.

But the it could stretch more in the front if the IFS would be removed and a solid axle installed. But I that has many con's too so I doubt I ever will do that.

It's not rubbing when flexing, does a great job. You can see a little flexing in one of the pictures that I linked.

You also have to remember that these are not set up for rock climbing, so we like to raise them up as little as possible and just cut cut cut out to make room for the tires.

Toyota has made double cabs for about 25 years now... And they eonly becaema available in '01 in the states... Drives me up a wall...

I had JD find me a double-cab "cab" in OZ a few years ago. Nice, rust free 84-88 era doublecab. When he went to the wrecker with my $$, the wrecker had crushed the cab removing the box... Made me want to cry.

if I had the $$, I would import an 89-95 vintage Doublecab, solid axle Turbo diesel... Yup.

You have a 4 link rear? If you get a chance could you take pics of it, like where they mounted the links and such?

Yes 4-link, I could take some pics some day But there are others who have pictures in the Icelandic 4x4 club.

Here is an album with 28 pics of the process. I'm sure you can find many more if you search the site for this.
