okay. i just ordered the 1.5" daystar front coil spacers for a 1999 toyota 4runner to level the front with the rear.

but i just realized i have the tundra/OEM setup in the front.

will the spacers still work with the tundra coils or will i have to buy spacers for tundra coils.

 

It should be sitting level. Unless you don't have the small 3/8" top out spacers in the front. That's usually what people use with the Tundra/OME lift. To make it sit even.

 

To answer you question though, the Tundra coils and the same as the stock. Therefore the spacers will fit. But I think it'll be too much.

 

the spacer on the sonoran steel site says its a 1 inch spacer with 1.5" of lift.

and im not going to run the 3/8" spacer along with the other one.

im thinkin the 1.5" of lift will be perfect.

Which spacer are you talking about?

Think long and hard about this addition. Why buy a $1500 SS lift kit and then add a spacer that will throw off the tried and tested geometry of it?

 

Remember: when it comes to front suspension on our IFS rigs, the lift you'll get is about 1.5 times the height of the spacer. So, your 1.5" Daystars will actually yield around 2.25". That additional lift will be waaaay too much for the front suspension to handle with the Tundra coils, especially with the 3/8" spacer that's already been talked about.

If you don't have that spacer installed, doing so will level things out somewhat. The most I've heard of people doing is two 3/8" topouts and even that's a stretch on CV's. Regardless of which way you go, a diff drop is a must if you haven't done it already. Good luck!

why would the spacers be advertised as lifting it 1" and then actually yield 2.5"?

im going to see how much this actually lifts it and then go from there.

ill probably return the spacer and get another 3/8" topout.

neliconcepts front was pretty even with the 2 topouts and the tundras.

 

I've run those 1.5" spacers before. I got about 1.5" from them. Don't worry about it.

You mentioned that the Daystars were 1.5" tall in your first post right? (Where did the 1" lift come from all of a sudden?) That's where I got the 2.25" of lift. If they're actually advertised to give you 1.5", then that's what they'll give, but they won't be 1.5" tall. My 2.5" Daystars only measure about 1.75" or so. Sorry about the confusion, but if you read search the boards, you'll find that a 3/8" spacer actually gives ~.5" of lift. You always multiply the actual height of the spacer by 1.5 to get the final amount of lift.

The rake is SUPPOSED to be towards the front.
