OK, I will try my best to descrive the problem.


When I turn sharply in my runner, more so when over bumps, it feels like my tires just give away. I don't know if that makes sense, but it feels like they are just pushed around and don't hold the angle.

for example, today I was turning and hit a raised manhole cover and the right front tire felt like it moved outward when hitting the pressure from the cover.

I don't know what leads to this, but the steering does not feel like I am in control at all anymore. I hit bumps and I feel helpless, the wheel rattles in my hands and seems at the whim of bumps.

ANY SUGGESTIONS OR DIAGNOSIS?!?!

It could be play in the steering box or bad ball joints.

Jack the front up, grab a front tire at the top and bottom and see if there is play in and out. Then get back to us
