Help! reattaching fender flares

So after my incident last week of running into a ditch, my passenger front fender flare has now become detached from the fender. I did some searching to try and find a way to reseal that so I dont get mud and salt in it and rust out my fender.

One of my friends said to use car wax and then just buff off the leftovers when its done... I tried it with some mothers pure carnauba wax (or somethin like that) and it didnt even think about working... not even a glint of hope.

Anyone have any ideas?

wazioc,

i'm a little confused: are you having trouble reattaching your fender flares? or are you concerned that mud/dirt will get between the body panel and the fender flares?

if the latter, many of us have purchased the tacoma rubber fender flare trip. it has a little adhesive that keeps it on the fender flare too. jalaber has a good writeup on his website, top4runners.com
