HELP!!! need a 2.7 question answered fast!!

i have a 99 taco non distributor 2.7 and i found a replacement motor for 500 but it has the distributor... will the older 2.7 even work? thanks in advanced.

not sure on the block working but i would use toyota head gasket and maybe check to see if the new block has all of the same sensor locations and holes. more specifically the crank position sensor and cam position sensor since your old motor will probably have them and the new block probably picks it up off a sensor in the dist. if all else fail you could use you head you have now and use the new block. well good luck i dont know much about those motors but let us know how it goes

well my block should be cool. but my head is cracked. and i dont think dist motors have the cam sensor hole. i found a completely rebuilt TOYOTA head on ebay for 375 so i might go that way.
