Question Help? Engine block warmers!

I have a 95 4-runner and I live in Colorado.
Its starting to get cold out here and I was wondering if any of you in the colder climates have ever used a engine block warmer?
I know checker has one, but there has to be better ones out there. Please let me know, Thanks

I have block heaters installed in two toyotas by the dealer. From my experiences with block heaters, there seems to be no difference in what dealers have installed. We also have one in a Ford van. The concern is when you knock out the freeze plug and install the heater unit. Make sure the heater unit goes in square. The routing of the wiring is also important. Make sure it is away from any moving parts. Use lots of plastic ties to route the wiring. Otherwise everything should be fine. You will hear a sizzling sound when it is plugged in and working. I have had block heaters in vehicles since 1989. The only problem was a failure with the plug wire in one of the vehicles. Dealer replaced under warrantly. The units are great in cold weather. Engine turns over much easier.
