Can't help you with the air pressure question but I just wanted to say that I'm glad you've made the decision and are enjoying it without looking back. Good for you! I hope the rest of what you own is fairing better...

So i went today and bought and got a brand new 2004, V6 SR5 just like i had. This one also has the tire pressure warning system and the leather steering wheel. Man, i love that steering wheel. And let me just say, what a difference between the 2003 and the 2004. The squeaks and rattles, are gone. And it might be jsut me or is the 2004 50 times smoother than the 2003. They just keep getting better. By the way I got the Navy blue one, awesome color.

Here a question maybe one of you might be able to help me with. If I put the new 20" rims on the new runner with the tire pressure system, will it completely throw off the tire gauge?

I'll get pics as soon as there is light out?

Thanks guys.
I believe the tire pressure monitoring system uses transmitters mounted in each wheel, so if you install aftermarket wheels, the system won't work.

awesome...

is there any way you can take the tire pressure sensors off the OE wheels and put them on the 20's?

Glad everything worked out, your valve stems should be metal, just got to put them on the wheels you want but Im unsure of how the 1 in the spare works, their is 5 so keep that in mind if your tires are low and you can't find the problem

Yos, unfortunately, no. Regardless of the route you go, the title will still show as being salvaged. Essentially, unless you plan on driving that truck into the ground, you will never get your money back out of it if you plan to keep it. Total that puppy and have the insurance co. deal with it.

BTW, I still have the stock rims for the 4th Gen. which I need to sell. Send me a PM if you are interested.

Steve

It sucks that it happened, be happy that you weren't injured in the storm and get a new truck! Once the interior has been saturated like that it will never be the same and once it has a history of major trauma it will never be worth blue book even if repaired.
