I just bought a 2005 Toyota Tacoma Dbl. Cab with the "long bed". (It's the same size as the regular cab bed.....73"x57").

I need to buy a fiberglass cap for it, BUT I need one with the roof that is raised.. that is is higher than the truck cab top.

I can find a couple of manufacturers which make a standard FLAT cap for the 2005 Tacoma, but I can't find anyone that makes the higher cap.

(For example, the only model that Leer lists for the 2005 Tacoma is the 100R, which is flat.)

Do any of you folks know of a company which makes the higher topper for the 2005 model?

Thanks for the suggestion, but they do not list a topper with a higher roof that will fit the 2005 truck.

Maybe the remodeled 2005 tacoma is just too new for the makers of tops to have created them??

Since the 05 has not been out for long - it may just be that not many have attempted to buy a raised roof canopy yet and so there may not be a lot of answers just yet. Plus, half a day is not a long time to wait for people to check in and have a chance to reply.....

 

Why do you have to have one with a raised roof. You might have to get a flat top one for now if the need is imediate(sp), then later sell that one and get one with a raised roof.
