I was also planning on some driving lights, most are for offroad use only, does anyone know of any driving lights that would be LEGAL for street/highway use. I will be getting some nighthawks within a few days and would like legal driving lights to best compliment the nighthawks.

I have the Piaa Fog lights installed in the front skirt $200+ for the pair, I used to have to use them allot with the old bulbs, but with the GE's, the light is bright white which covers the road with really no dead area's, Unless there is serious fog I won't need the Piaa's for driving. My question is for whorerunner, do you have a grill like a WAAG where you can install driving lights? or were you thinking using the stock locations in your bumper, as well Budget, I always had a pair of 55w driving/fog lights from (hate to say it) Walmart for $35 that always came in hand. There are some low profiles that should be easy to install with a regular bumper.

I just installed the nighthawks they are a good improvement, now I just need some foglights in my stock 99bumper. The harness is already there so I plan to use that one. Runner003 which fogs did you get from walmart,I just got those nighthawks today. I looked at there fogs I think they were called cyberwhites but I havent heard anything about those. Are those the ones you have.

Contrary to what was said above I like the Sylvania Silverstar's. They are significantly brighter than stock and amazingly bright when the high beam's are on. I got mine for half price so I guess I can't complain, but after using them for a few months now I am very happy.

legality is all relative... in some states you cant have more than 4 front facing lights on at the same time. others dont even allow fogs unless in bad conditions. most do say that anything over 55 watts is illegal on roads though

I've had good luck with Sylvania Xtravision's in the past on other vehicles, but am tempted on getting some GE Nighthawks for the Tacoma.

Do a search for Phillips Vision Plus. Upgrade over stock and better than Silver Satrs. been running them for over a year and love them. Can't get them here in the US though. I get mine form England.

I installed the 100w H3's by Sylvania in my 99's fog lamps and within a week they blew the fuse. I went back to the 55w. I am interested in the Nighthawks however for the main lamps. The price is right. I had a Xenon (www.eurodezigns.com) set from Ebay that were pretty good and they covered them under warranty a year later when they burnt out, but they sent me a set that is multi colored and in my highly reflective headlamps it looks like a circus

It literally painted my garage door in many colors lmao I had to take em out and now I'm back to good old Halogens for the time being.

i 2nd the philips vision plus... i have the 9004s in my stock wiring harness and they are a huge improvement over stock. the problem with those "blues" is that they totally wash out in foul weather ... the regular "yellow" light -- but brighter -- is the way to go imo...
