I've got all PIAA bulbs up front...they are all Star White bulbs, they look really good...I just got some interior dome lights to match em. I would recommend them for sure!

I don't really want to give cops any reasonable cause to pull me over.

That is correct. DOT allows white or amber for front marker or turn signals and no other colors. The current trend to blue white must not be overdone - white with only a slight bluish tint is marginal - depends entirely on the mood of the cop. Incidently, some of the cheapo import headlight bulbs are way too blue - they don't produce good light (too dim) and might get you a ticket if they are too blue. Beware!

For the rear - DOT requires tail lights must be red. Period. Rear turns can be either red or amber. White or whitish/bluish in the rear is NOT an option - not even close.

Various states back up these regs with laws so they can enforce (read: write tickets) without the cop having to know the contents of the 1000-volume Code of Federal Regulations. States also write laws for example reserving blue lights for emergency and law enforcement, that sort of thing.

Make no mistake - blue lights in back or in front are illegal in all 50 states and by Federal DOT. If you overdo it with bluish tinted bulbs you may cross the line and get ticketed.
