have a problem burning too much fuel- help?

i have a 1994 toyota pickup 3.0 v6 and im burning an insane amount of fuel. i have black smoke coming out of the exhaust because of the fuel consumtion- can anyone help me? i have no clue what to do. im gettin like 5mpg

Hmmm...maybe bad O2 sensor? You're not getting any check engine lights? Maybe MAF has gone bad?

MAF- what is this, what if i block my cold start line- i lie in florida- do i really need it- any other suggestions?

Injectors? I know thats what causes the big diesel trucks at work to burn fuel and blow smoke real bad.
