He's talking about an ECU upgrade I believe. And no, you can't just chip these ECU's.

Well, you CAN chip them, but you'll gain nothing in the end. It's an adaptive ECU.... you're gonna need a piggyback box (ie Greddy, HKS, Apex'i) to do any real messing around, or you could go full standalone (ie Motech, Haltech, etc) but I wouldn't bother unless you're running BIG boost via either turbo or S/C.
