Hands Free Car Kit Install HELP!

Q: Has anyone installed a CARK-91 kit in their 4Runner? I need to know where to tap ignition/power/ground. It's for a NOKIA.

My 4Runner is a '96. Thanks!

I'm not exactly sure this is the correct way, but you could theoreticly tap into the radio's wiring. Check this, it's a PDF wiring diagram: http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/Toyota-Wiring.pdf

Let us know how it works out!

Thanks! I may go that route if I can't find a similar installation!

That's the way to go, I recently installed a Nokia car kit in my '96 Surf (4Runner) and used the feeds to the radio, works perfectly.

Before I tear into the dash.....what's the best way to access the connector I'm tapping into? Do I have to remove the radio?

Another page from the site gapguy listed above should sort you out, at http://www.installdr.com/InstallDocs...PDF/869017.pdf you'll find full directions for gaining access to the area you require.
