grinding hub while in "free"

alright, i searched a bit and have come to realize i dont know crap about 4x4. never had a hub off/apart. my right front hub spins completely around (past lock and free), which it has been messed up since i bought it, but now its really bad. it grinds when in the free position. drivers side hub works as advertised. From my searching i see Spindle Bushings repeated everywhere, but everyone's seems to grind in the locked position, not where mine grinds. its a pretty vicious grind.... As this is my daily commuter, and i just moved out from my parents house, this fix has to mean i can drive to work the next day. when i remove the hub do i just take all the bolts off around the hub? prolly being a for not just tearing into it, but i dont wanna get stranded... i have a manual, but it is somewhere in a box probably in my parents storage unit. truck has 193,000, 3.4L, if that helps any. any help appreciated!

If it spins like that something is busted for sure. Just have to take it off and tear it down.

Pretty straightforward.
