Grill update on 91 2nd gen?

I want to update the look of my 4runner from the early 90's to the mid 90's by swaping out the grill and headlights with the more modern 92 style. Is this an easy conversion? Does everything just bult on like it should or are the feners/hood diferent on the 92-95 runners? I have also though of installing a 92-95 pickup grill. Would that work?
My 91 4runner:

A 92 4runner:

What do I need for the conversion?

You need the grill from a 92+, headlamps, headlamp bulbs, head lamp harnesses, & head lamp brackets. The grill as far as I know is straight forward. As for fabbing the headlamp brackets i really cant tell you how easy for sure it will be. I know its been done. Good luck with the swap.

I think it would be easier to swap a newer grill from the 92-95 Toyota Pick-Ups. That would look real good! Now if you really want to get unique grill, get a JDM grill from the Hilux's in Japan or in the central or south america. From what I can tell its all interchangeable.

Yea, I have been considering that rout since it would be really uneque (I have never seen a runner with a 92-95 pickup grill) and it would be a lot cheeper. I made this photoshop of what that would look like. What do you think of this:

Why not just leave it the way it is...that looks fine, I think the 92-95 would look better than the Pick-up, but maybe I'm just partial to the way mine looks.

Yea, well at the very least I want to get a new 91 grill in chrome but I would rather make it look more modern while I am at it.

Well I'd go with the 92-95 grill then...looks much cleaner than the pickup grill IMO.

Yeah but you got to remember that the 92-95 4Runner grill is NOT a direct swap, you need the corner lights, headlights, fenders, and grill. I'm sure there are a few other things. I bet you're going to need a lot $$$ for project like that, when you can just buy a 92-95 grill, its cheaper, unique and updating the look at the same time.

Are the fenders diferent? I was just looking on ebay for the headlights and it looks like it will cost $160 for a pair of new ones shiped which is a lot of cash already. Would the 92 pickup gill just bolt on. I konw the side markers are diferent. Is there anything esle I would have to swap if I whent the 92 pickup rout?
