Fort leasure is not too tough of a school as I've heard. No early morning classes, no late evening classes. This means you can stay up late Drinking, sleep in late, still make it to class and do ok. I don't know this first hand but this seems to be the way all my friends who go there work it. south west co. is so sweet though. Once you come you will never want to leave. It would be hard to drive all the trails around here in one summer. Sick passes to drive.

Ok, I have to put in a good word for Western State College in Gunnison. I graduated there in 89'. It was an incredible 4 years. I 'm always going back to my favorite spots to wheel, fish and camp. The school is pretty standard in terms of academics. It's 3.5 hrs from Denver. I'm hoping one of my kids will go there someday.

It does, and the dorms aren't all that great, either. I looked and UNC, Western, and Ft. Lewis. UNC smells, but they say you get used to it. Western is too cold during the winter, and Gunnison is very small.

I settled on Fort Lewis as my choice. Durango is the best town out of them all, and the Fort isn't such a loser stoner school like it used to be.

There was when I worked there, but it just kinda' fizzled when the guy who ran it graduated. I'm sure if you post in the Student Union Building you could have one up in no time. There are other programs where they go wheel too. Outdoor Pursuits is one of them. They go wheeling, ice climbing, mountain biking, skiing, camping (w/ hotties ), hiking, rock climbing...yeah, you get the idea. Like I said though, you could start up a wheeling club easy.
